AJ Jacobowitz is the current clinical director of OurPlace Teens, holding a master's of social work, AJ grew up in the Orthodox community, attending yeshivas In Brooklyn and Jerusalem. OurPlace Teens is a drop in center for youth between the ages of 14-21, offering a safe space at night for teens to eat, hang out, work out and chill on a nightly basis. For the first podcast we have a very special guest Shim Perlman, LMSW, is a licensed social worker who joined the Boys Our Place clinical team during the COVID 19 pandemic. A native of Far Rockaway, NY, Shim received his degree from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work in 2010, Shim is particularly passionate about his work at Our Place, as he helps young people begin to unlock their potential and build brighter futures.
